Praise Page Thank you Jesus for all you have given me. Please help me in all I do, to do the best that you want me to do. In Jesus name, Amen!! 1 Corinthians 4:1-21 So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ & as those entrusted with the secrets things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness & will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God. Now, brothers, I have applies these things to myself & Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying. "Do not go beyond what is written". Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? Already you have all you want Already you have become rich! You have become kings---and that without us!How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kinds with you. For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as men. We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! To this very hour we go hungry & thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world. I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you, as my dear children. Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. Therefore I urge you to imitate me. For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church. Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. but I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, & then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. What do you prefer! Shall I come to you with a whip, or in love & with a gentle spirit? Jeremiah 23:1-40 "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying & scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the Lord. Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to the Shepard's who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock & driven them away & have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil; you have done." declares the Lord. "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them & will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful & increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, & they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing, "declares the Lord. "The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a king who will reign wisely & do what is just & right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved & Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteousness. "So then the days are coming," declares the Lord, "when people will no longer say,' As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' but they will say,' As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north & out of all the countries where he had banished them.' Then they will live in their own land." Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome by wine, because of the Lord & his holy words. The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched & the pastures in the desert are withered. The prophets follow an evil course & use their power unjustly. "Both prophet & priest are godless; even in my temple I find their wickedness," declares the Lord. "Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness & there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year they are punished," declares the Lord. "Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal & led my people Israel astray. And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery & live a lie. They strengthen they hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me: the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah." "Therefore, this is what the Lord Almighty says concerning the prophets: "I will make them eat bitter food & drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land." This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The Lord says" You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say,' No harm will come to you.' But which of them has stood in the council of the Lord to see or to hear his word? Who has listened & heard his word? See, the storm of the Lord will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked. The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand it clearly. I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people & would have turned them from their evil ways & from their evil deeds. "Am I only a God nearby," declares the Lord. "and not a God far way? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?' declares the Lord. Do not I fill heaven & earth? declares the Lord. "I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. 'They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!' How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy he delusions of their own minds? They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship. Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak is faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?" declares the Lord. "Is not my word like fire." declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? " "Therefore," declares the Lord, "I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me. Yes," declares the Lord "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues & yet declare, 'he Lord declares. ' Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the Lord." They tell them & lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the Lord. "When these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, 'What is the oracle of the Lord?' say to them, ' What oracle? I will forsake you, declares the Lord.' If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, 'This is the oracle of the Lord,' I will punish that man & his household. This is what each of you keeps on saying to his friend or relative: 'What has the Lord spoken?' But you must not mention 'the oracle of the Lord' again, because everyman's own word becomes his oracle & so you distort the words of the living God, the Lord Almighty, our God. This is what you keep saying to a prophet: 'What is the Lord's answer to you? or What has the Lord spoken?' Although you claim, 'This is the oracle of the Lord, 'this is what the Lord says: You used the words, 'This is the oracle of the Lord,' even though I told you that you must not claim, 'This is the oracle of the Lord.' Therefore, I will surely forget you & cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you & your fathers. I will bring upon you everlasting disgrace--- everlasting shame that will not be forgotten. Psalm 37 Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord & do good; dwell in the land & enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord & he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him & he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice if your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord & wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry our their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger & turn from wrath; do not fret--- it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. A little while, & the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land & enjoy great peace. The wicked plot against the righteous & gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword & bend the bow to bring down the poor & needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, & their bows will be broken. Better the little that the righteous have then the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. The days of the blameless are known to the Lord, & their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty. But the wicked will perish: The Lord's enemies will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish---- vanish like smoke.\ The wicked borrow & do not repay, but the righteous give generously; those the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be cut off. If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. I was young & now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. They are always generous & lend freely; their children will be blessed. Turn from evil & do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just & will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off; the righteous will inherit the land & dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, & his tongue speaks what is just. The law of his God is in his heart; his feet do not slip. The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, seeking their very lives; but the Lord will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned when brought to trail. Wait for the Lord & keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it. I have seen a wicked & ruthless man flourishing like a green tree in its native soil, but he soon passed away & was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found. Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace. But all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off. The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The Lord helps them & delivers them; be delivers then from the wicked & saves them, because they take refuge in him. God is an awesome God !!!! It's amazing how well you can hear him, when your quiet & listen for him to speak to you. Your never alone, he is always watching you & taking care of your needs. Ask & you shall receive in Jesus name as it is written. John 3:16-18 (the Student Bible NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one & only son. That whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one & only Son. Have you asked God to come into your life yet ? You can do so just by reading verse John 3:16 out loud & believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God & that he died on the cross to forgive you of your sins with his own blood. If you just ask God to come into your life. GET READY, because your life is going to change. You are now surrounded by heavenly angels & as the scriptures say, ASK IN JESUS NAME AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE. Faith can move mountains & CHANGE LIFE'S FOREVER !!!! Welcome to the Glorious Kingdom of God !!!! Hebrews 10:35-39 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come & will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back & are destroyed, but of those who believe & are saved. Hebrews 11:1 Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for & certain of what we do not see. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (The Student Bible NIV)
